The Miss Lake County pageant is an annual pageant that occurs during Trout-o-rama in Balwin Michigan. Contestants ages range from 15-18. The pageant is a teen pageant, similar to Miss America, only excluding the bathing suit portion of events. In order to participate, contestants must have a platform (which is an issue that they stand for). Judging Panel The pageantry judge's panel consists of various men and women that work around the area. The judges vote based on confidence, stage presence, knowledge of current events, performance, and attitudes. Judges meet with each contestant the afternoon of the night of the big day.
