Minor power objects in Sonic the Hedgehog

In the fictional universes of the Sonic the Hedgehog video games, cartoon series, and comic books, a number of powerful objects exist. Most prominent among these are the Chaos Emeralds and Master Emerald, but a number of less powerful objects also exist.
Gems Precioustone The Dreamcast game Sonic Shuffle is set in a "dream world" known as Maginary World. In this world lays a mysterious stone known as the Precioustone, which keeps the Maginary World under control while residing in the Temple of Light. The Precioustone is shattered by Void, which causes Maginary World to fall into disaster. and sought for by Eggman Nega. They are the counter-parts of the Chaos Emeralds, but they are rectangular in shape, unlike the brilliant cut design of the Chaos Emeralds. Like the Chaos Emeralds, all seven can be used to achieve a transformation. It is also interesting to note their magnetic properties - both Eggman and Eggman Nega quote that the Chaos and Sol Emeralds can attract and repel each other, and this power could destroy the world. It can be noted that the Sol Emeralds appear in Sonic Next Gen. But this is largely a matter of opinion however. They are the same shape, can be bought in any store, and are called Gems. Also whenever you receive a new Sol Emerald (Gem) you obtain a new ability.
Time Stones
In Sonic CD, the seven Time Stones were used instead of Chaos Emeralds. The colors are slightly different from the Chaos Emeralds' usual colors; orange, green, yellow, blue, cyan, purple, and red (they use the same sprite as the Sonic 1 Chaos Emeralds). These mysterious gems teleports the Little Planet through time, and as such it is only visible in the planet's atmosphere for one month out of every year. If Sonic collected all of the Time Stones, he would use their power to prevent Eggman from ever spreading his influence on the Little Planet, thereby ensuring a good future for the planet. The Time Stones, along with Little Planet, have not appeared in any subsequent games.
In the "" cartoon, there were two Time Stones that were guarded on a floating island (not to be confused with Angel Island) which could only be accessed by defeating the guards and answering the riddle asked by the Guardian, who rather than being Knuckles the Echidna was instead an enormous, ancient owl. Sonic and Sally Acorn used these two Time Stones to transport themselves back to the day of Robotnik's takeover of Mobotropolis during the two-part episode "Blast to the Past" in an attempt to stop the takeover from ever happening. This ultimately failed, but Sally was able to save her nanny Rosie by telling her to never leave Knothole no matter what because Sally knew that she would be captured while out in the Great Forest and roboticized by Robotnik.
In Sonic the Comic, there was mention in a Sonic's World strip of there being seven Time Stones on the Miracle Planet, but only one was ever seen in the main strip and it resembled a normal stone rather than the multi-colored gems shown in the back-up strip. Robotnik, by means unknown, had found the Time Stone and was using it to power a machine that would cyberform the whole Miracle Planet; through a bizarre time paradox, Sonic received a Time Stone from himself so he could go back in time, retrieve the Time Stone (and destroy the machine), and then go forward in time to give the Stone to himself, after which point the machine's effect on the planet suddenly vanished, as did the Stone. Its origin was never explained.
Rings Chaos Rings
The Chaos Rings were six powerful rings that appeared in Knuckles' Chaotix. According to the Japanese manual, the Rings were created by an ancient civilization and infused with Chaos Emerald energy. Doctor Eggman builds a base on the mysterious island where they were created in order to find the Rings, which are hidden in Special Stages. The Chaos Rings can still be collected, but are never explained.
Power Rings See main article. The Power Rings play a major role in the Sonic the Hedgehog SatAm cartoon series which is completely different from the games. Sir Charles Hedgehog (better known as Uncle Chuck) created the power rings for Sonic. Sir Charles built a machine powered by a magic stone that can create these rings. Then Sir Charles put the machine into a lake in Knothole Village. Every twelve hours, a power ring would surface, and then sink back into the lake if someone didn't catch it. The rings give Sonic an extra burst of speed which is temporary. The rings usually work only for Sonic, but one time, Robotnik used one to power a machine that can zap Sonic whenever he runs. This was because Antoine D'Coolette took the ring from the lake to use it to lure Robotnik into a trap which ultimately failed. In Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, in an episode where Sonic was in a car race, the power rings were more like the rings from the games. In Sonic Underground, the power rings have made no appearance at all. In Sonic X, the power rings, although smaller, had the same effects as their SatAm counterparts.
World Rings The seven World Rings are a major plot point in Sonic and the Secret Rings. The evil Erazor Djinn used Sonic to get his hands on the rings, so that he could use them to conquer the Arabian Nights book. While his plan initially succeeded, Sonic absorbed four of the Rings to transform into Darkspine Sonic after Erazor had used all of them to transform into the monstrous Alf Layla wa-Layla. The World Rings are colored in the same colors as the Chaos Emeralds, and their power requires a sacrifice to unlock. Each ring holds the power of one of the following emotions (in the order Erazor mentioned them): Prayers (Purple), Sadness (Blue), Rage (Red), Hatred (Green), Joy (Yellow), Pleasure (Water Blue), and Wishes (White).
