Mimi Fuenzalida

Mimi Fuenzalida is a Chilean film actress. Fuenzalida began her career as a soap actress in Santiago, Chile. She moved to Los Angeles and immediately booked a role in the film Broken and soon after in Aaron Spelling's television series 10-8.

Biography
Early life
During her childhood, her family moved often. Fuenzalida had attended over seven schools by the age of twelve, lived in six cities in two countries. Fuenzalida attended school in West Germany through an exchange student program.

Professional career
Fuenzalida gravitates to dramatic roles, exploring the depths of her soul through the joys, suffering, successes and failures of the character. Fuenzalida's premiere was in her Los Angeles role in the series 10-8.

Since then, Fuenzalida studied with director Rick Edelstein, who directed series such as Sanford and Son and Starsky and Hutch. While studying with Edelstein, Fuenzalida met fellow thespian Elle Travis-Peterson, which resulted in her performances in Broken, First Watch and the series, The Tipping Point. Fuenzalida current films in progress are Myriam and Shy, with projected release dates in 2008.

Activism
Fuenzalida divides her time between Austria, Chile and Los Angeles. Fuenzalida was a California AIDS ride representative and helped to organize this event in 1994 and 1995. California Aids Ride benefits The Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
