Millennial Boomer

Millennial Boomer is a person that has successfully integrated into the new era of business 2.0. Business 2.0 is defined as doing business or having business processes which utilize today’s technology. These individuals are either running a small business which utilizes today’s technology tools or are in a corporate position which requires a base understanding of these tools. The true Millennial Boomer has a basic understanding of today’s technological ecosystem and either functions within the framework of this system or utilizes the millennial generation to do so.

The term is meant to give explanation to a new generation of boomers that is in touch with her inner millennial and continues to shape the world we live in today. This segment of the generation is between 45 and 44 years of age and is considered to be part of Generation Jones - a segment of the baby boomer population. Many of the characteristics that are attributed to the Boomer generation apply to these individuals; with the exception that they have learned to fully harness business 2.0 concepts.

Hence this new generational designation is in essence a Baby Boomer who has taken on many of the characteristics of the millennial generation. In fact, they are defining many of the characteristics of this generation with their unique point of view and understanding of the world and emerging technology. This segment is a very important part of the population that will continue to shape the new business world.
