Milagros J. Cordero

Dr. Milagros J. Cordero a.k.a. "Mili" is a pediatrician and a licensed, registered occupational therapist with board certification in Pediatrics. She is the founder and President of Team Therapy Services For Children (ITT’S for Children), a professional group that assists and empowers parents to develop a better understanding of the strengths and needs of their children and to enhance their children's development to the full extent of their capability.
Early years
Cordero was born in Puerto Rico where she received her primary and secondary education. After her graduation from high school she enrolled and attended the University of Puerto Rico, where she earned a degree and received her training in occupational therapy.
ITT’S for Children
Cordero is a member of the national DIR Institute faculty and serves as vice-chair to Georgia's State Interagency Coordinating Council for the Babies Can’t Wait Program, the professional advisory council of the National Cornelia De Lange Association, and the board of the Frazer Center in Atlanta, Georgia. Tomatis sound therapy is a method based on the discoveries of Dr Alfred Tomatis, the French ear specialist who developed the discipline called audio-psycho-phonology, meaning the psychology of speech and hearing.
Cordero founded and is the president of Team Therapy Services For Children, also known as "ITT’S for Children," a professional group that assists and empowers parents to develop a better understanding of the strengths and needs of their children and to enhance their children’s development to the full extent of their capability. ITT's for Children provides occupational, physical, and speech and language therapy services for children. They provide habilitation and rehabilitation services for children in the 0 to 18 year group who experience chronic health related issues. Cordero currently trains occupational therapists in children’s therapy.<ref name="ITT"/>
