Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz

Mikhael Jaimez-Ruiz (born July 12, 1984) is a Venezuelan goalkeeper, currently playing for Aldershot Town. He is one of the first Venezuelans, if not the first Venezuelan, to play in English football. He began his career in Romania with CFR Cluj, for whom he played in their successful UEFA Intertoto Cup campaign in 2005, and he had a loan spell with Ariesul Turda. In February 2006 he had a trial with Barnet, but he was not offered a contract. He resurfaced in the 2006-7 season and signed a contract with the Bees, as third choice to Lee Harrison and Ross Flitney. He never played for the Bees and joined Northwood in early 2007. His good performances attracted the attention of bigger clubs. He had a trial with Wycombe Wanderers and joined Aldershot Town at the start of the 2007-8 season.
