Mike Virus

Mike Virus Michael Rothstein(born January 8 1974 in Philadelphia PA)
is the ex-vocalist of the San Diego-based hardcore punk band Cheap Sex. Before he took over lead vocals in Cheap Sex, he was the singer of another punk band named The Virus. He is now in a punk band named "Evacuate".

The Virus formed in February of 1998. Mike continued to perform and stay with The Virus and was on the debut album of The Virus, Still Fighting For A Future as well as the Global Crisis ep and the Manix/Virus split cd ep.. After the album was recorded, Mike left the band due a career offer that he believed he could not refuse. The career offer involved him moving to San Diego.

Mike met Gabe at an Agent Orange show. Mike expressed his interest in starting a new band to Gabe, and Gabe agreed he wanted to start a new band as well. Mike and Gabe formed Cheap Sex in 2002.

After five years of touring and recording, Mike and the rest of Cheap Sex decided to end the band due to their past guitarist, Chris, killing himself after struggling with heroin addiction. Mike sent out a bulletin on MySpace announcing Cheap Sex's breakup. Mike has expressed his interest in starting a new band with Phil and Brock from Cheap Sex. His band Cheap Sex is realeasing a DVD of the final show, produced by Lewis Ingham (Who released the Pure Punkrock DVD)

Mike has spoken about starting a new band sometime in the future and it is said to be named Evacuate.
