Mike Fési Sr. (born Michael A. Fési, May 20, 1959) is a businessman from Houma, Louisiana. Fési was born in Houma, Louisiana to Carmel Fési and Evelyn Sisk Fési. He graduated from Terrebonne High School in 1977 and attended Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, Louisiana. Fési is married to Carla Donaldson Fési and has four children and seven grandchildren. Fési is a longtime businessman, having founded several companies including PCM (), GOM Fabricators, and PHL (Petro Hydraulic Lift) Systems. His business entities currently employ over 200 people. Fési is a member of the Terrebonne Parish Chamber of Commerce and South Central Industrial Association. Career <big>FÉSI HOMEBUILDING:</big> Fési began his career as a homebuilder in the early 1980, opening his first business at the age of 21. In the late 1980’s, South Louisiana experienced turbulent economic conditions caused by the volatile decreases in oil prices (see 1980s oil glut). Fési diversified his homebuilding business to include maintenance services on foreclosed properties. <big>PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION & MAINTENANCE:</big> (commonly referred to as "PCM"), began operations on August 5, 1996 with Fési at the helm. PCM is a Louisiana based corporation with corporate headquarters located in Houma, Louisiana and regional office located in , , , , and . PCM also has satellite offices planned for and . Holding licenses within multiple classifications in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee. Over 200 employees are presently employed among PCM's locations. <big>PETRO HYDRAULIC LIFT SYSTEMS:</big> In 2007, Mike Fési and business partner Kenny Vincent co-invented and patented a highly efficient, low maintenance artificial lift solution. Petro Hydraulic Lift Systems (PHL) specializes in the development, manufacturing, and distribution of its patented artificial lift system. In November 2010, PHL was acquired by oilfield pioneer Lufkin Industries. <big>GOM FABRICATORS:</big> GOM (Gulf of Mexico) Fabricators is a general fabrication and repair facility serving mainly offshore clients, with a repair yard located in Houma, Louisiana. Activism <big>H.E.L.P. CORP:</big> In 2010, Fési co-founded the H.E.L.P. Corp political organization with Houma-based realtor Randolph Bazet III. The acronym found in the organization's name refers to their mission statement to "Honor our constitution, Educate others about the constitution, Lead our country back into the direction in which our Founding Fathers envisioned, and only then will we Prosper again as a nation." As of June 2011, H.E.L.P. Corp had a subscribed membership of over 400. 2011 Parish Presidential Campaign On May 12, 2011, he announced his candidacy for the office of "Parish President" of Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government. Fési's opponents include incumbent Parish President Michel Claudet, long-time Terrebonne councilman Clayton Voisin, Former Parish President Barry Bonvillain and cattle farmer Herdis Neil.
