Mike Bassett is the fictional protagonist of the film Mike Bassett: England Manager & Mike Bassett: Manager. He is know to have managed Norwich City, England & the fictional Wirral County. Bassett's most notable achievements are winning the Mr. Clutch Cup with Norwich City & taking the England team to the World Cup semi-finals. Playing career Mike Bassett had a playing career which saw him span the length and breadth of the country. Although not all the sides he played for are known he played 14 games in 9 different positions, including in goal. Although it is never made clear which 9 positions Bassett played in, apart from in goal, it insinuates that he has played every position in a typical 4-4-2 formation. |
