Sierra "Miep" von Sydow is a Swedish American feminist, journalist, and social and political activist. She began her career in 2008 as a writer for The Examiner and was later named on of their top contributors. Von Sydow then parlayed her Examiner fame into a successful newspaper columnist career. Recently, she has written various plays, and has become an activist promoting women's reproductive rights (bodily autonomy), individual rights, animal rights, LGBT Rights, etc.She continues to involve herself in politics and media affairs as a commentator, writer, lecturer, and organizer, campaigning for candidates and reforms and publishing books and articles.
