Midwest Manufacturing

Midwest Manufacturing is a manufacturer of home improvement materials with plants located through out midwestern United States. Some of the products they produce are Mastercraft interior and exterior doors, UltraDeck composite decking, AC2 treated lumber, Pro-Rib Steel siding and roofing, Pro-Snap residential steel roofing, Shell Rock Products concrete products and many other products. These products are sold to Hy-Vee Foods, Menards, Pamida, Running's Farm & Fleet, and other locations.

The privately-held company was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. As of January 2008, there are plants located in five states: (Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin).

Company history
Midwest Manufacturing's initial venture was the creation of a truss plant. The company has since grown to be the largest manufacturer of home improvement goods in the midwestern U.S. Through the years other plants have been added including treated lumber, boards, pre-hung doors, steel, composite decking, concrete products, and nails.

In 1990, the companies name changes from Midwest Distributors to Midwest Manufacturing.

In 1995, Midwest Manufacturing purchases Ultradeck from Contertops Inc.

In 1997, another manufacturing center was opened in Plano, Illinois.

In 2007, two more distribution/manufacturing centers were opened in Holiday City, Ohio & Shelby, Iowa.

In 2008, Midwest Manufacturing purchased Shel Rock Product Inc's concrete manufacturing division. This adds two manufacturing centers, Shell Rock, Iowa and Valley, Nebraska.
