Michelle Price

Michelle Price, born in Albany, GA is an international broadcaster, media manager, talk show host, performer, and entrepreneur. In 2001 she launched Toronto's first commercial, 24-hour R&B radio, Flow 93.5.
Price an African American, is now president of Life Radio Network which syndicates radio programming nationally via NY based Superadio.
Career
Credited with helping to usher in the HOT radio format in the 90's, Price launched HOT 107 in Memphis,TN Hot 107.9/WJFX in Ft. Wayne, KISS 106.5/Memphis, FLOW93.5 Toronto, WAY-FM/Nashville, WLRM/LOVE 1380/Memphis. Her stint as Director of Affiliate Relations for Westwood One, had price managing CNN, CBS, NBC radio products and catapulted her to launch Life Radio Network in 2006.
In 2000 after 8 years of filing, Toronto based, Milestone Radio was awarded the right to offer an Urban format, and brought Price over via that NAFTA agreement. The station wasn't without controversy as many in Toronto's Caribbean community wanted a more "Island Sound", and the Urban/Hip Hop sounding station that was launched. Speaking at a 2001 CBC conference in Albert, Price stated that " Amid the many beautiful and diverse cultures in Canada, the commercial radio landscape had been focused on only one section of people... until now" The station's success, changed the culture of radio in Canada. Five other stations with similar formats were started within 2 years of FLOW's Feb. 2001 startup.
Because of Price's deep ties to both the Canadian and American Entertainment and Broadcast community, NABFEME hosted it's first inaugural conference in Toronto in 2001. Johnnie Walker then VP of Def Jam started the organization stated that Price's commitment to broadcasting inspired women and men alike. Price was honored with the "Chairwoman's Award" presented by Def Jam President Kevin Lyles.
Price was part of the "NAB" National Association of Broadcasters Leadership Training Program in 2005. The program designed to develop station ownership among the ranks of high level radio executives. The DC program connected Price with DC Based Westwood One, where Price was tapped as Director of Affiliate Sales managing CNN, CBS, and NBC radio news affiliates for the
South East. The program was also the catalyst for the launch of Price's company Life Radio Network in Nashville,TN. which currently syndicates national radio programming. Price was also a Broadcasting Executive Fellow at Georgetown University.
