Michael Synnott (born 20 January, 1987 in Dublin, Republic of Ireland) is an Irish footballer, currently without a club.
He plays in defence, at either right-back or centre-half, and has represented the Republic of Ireland at all levels up to under-21, with whom he made one appearance. He began his career with noted Irish youth team Home Farm.
He was a member of the 2005 FA Youth Cup-winning Ipswich Town team. He scored his first senior Ipswich goal in the team's 3-1 pre-season victory over Kettering Town on 12 July 2007.
He went on trial at Conference National side York City in January 2008. A month later, it was confirmed he would not be offered a new contract at the end of the 2007-08 season, meaning he would be released by the club then.
