Michael Parmelee (born 1971) is an American photographer specializing in unit still photography, celebritiy portraiture, street photography, aerial photography and travel photography. He has also dedicated a large portion of his work to global social justice — documenting the stories of individuals and societies during times of protest, conflict, and war. Life and Career Michael begin photography at the age of fourteen documenting life on the streets in his neighborhood of Hollis, Queens, New York. After almost a decade of working as a pilot and flight instructor, Michael shifted into professional photography and by the age of 22 was working as a unit still photographer for television and film productions. He has worked with many acclaimed personalities such as Robin Williams, Mariska Hargitay, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Ron Howard, and Matthew Broderick and his client list includes NBC, CBS, USA Network, FX, National Geographic, Citibank, and eBay.
