Michael Nardiello (born May 9, 1989) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for Tiverton Town. He is the nephew of former Wales international Donato Nardiello, cousin of Pakistan international Reis Ashraf and Exeter City striker Daniel Nardiello. Youth Career Manchester United Nardiello was predicted by many to be the next big thing when he signed for United from his hometown club Torquay United at the age of 14. In his first season at Old Trafford, he scored 18 goals in 23 starts for the Under-15s. The following season, he made eight starts in 15 for the Under-16s and was subsequently offered a two-year extension to his deal, but turned it down after deciding that his chances of making it in the United first team were minute. Liverpool He instead joined Liverpool, one of 36 clubs who had expressed an interest in the then 16-year-old. Nardiello continued to shine on Merseyside, scoring six goals in nine starts in his debut season (2005-06) for the Under-17s, including four in their triumphant Youth Cup run. He also featured for the reserves and trained with the first team at Melwood. Senior Career Halesowen Town In 2010, Nardiello joined Halesowen Town, brought in by his uncle, Phil Nardiello. He became a regular stater until he picked up an injury, starting 7 matches and coming on as a substitute for 1, scoring 1 goal to that point. Tiverton Town On 27 November it was confirmed Nardiello signed for Tiverton Town. National Career England Under 16s & 17s From 2004 to 2006, Nardiello played for the England Under-16 and Under-17 sides, scoring 6 goals in 12 appearances while lining up alongside players like Theo Walcott, Daniel Sturridge and James Tomkins.
