Club Achievements
Hannon plays his club Football with Drumgoon, who he joined at an early age. At the time they are a small rural club who had achieved little of note at junior level, but led by Hannon, his older brother Colm, Keith Fannin, Jim McNally, and Edward Jackson Drumgoon managed to win Coutny titles at junior and intermediate level, Ulster titles at junior level, and an all Ireland at junior level in the space of 2 short years. The Club however, after initially flurishing at senior level failed to build on its success and were relegated back to Intermediate level in 2006.
Intercouunty Career
Hannon has been an ever present on the cavan panel since 2002 and a fixture on the team since late 2004. He is recognised as a tight man marker and is usually deployed at corner back, on occasion he has filled in at Fullback, wing back and centre back. in recent times he has struggled with injuries and as of January 2009 was recovering from a second groin operation in 12 months to cure a long standing injury. It is unsure if he will feature in new manager Tom Carr's plans for 2009 as he did not feature in any of the McKenna cup matches.
