Michael Broussard

Michael Broussard (born August 6, 1961 in Bay City, Texas), a literary agent with iSB New Media.
Career
Broussard began his literary career with Jan Miller at Dupree Miller & Associates in 1987. Miller met Broussard while he was waiting tables at a popular Dallas restaurant, and told him he had the personality to be an agent. Starting out as an intern at Miller’s offices, Michael went on to become one of their lead agents, representing such books as Chelsea Handler’s My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, Joseph Grenny’s Crucial Conversations, Nicole Richie’s The Truth about Diamonds, Catherine Crier’s Final Analysis, Nate Berkus’ Home Rules: Transform the Place You Live Into a Place You'll Love and Fantasia’s Life is Not a Fairy Tale, amongst other bestsellers. Broussard was also instrumental in helping Miller to acquire mega-pastor Joel Osteen for their list.
In 2006, Broussard joined Regan Media headed by Judith Regan. He served as a Senior Editor during the last year of Regan’s tenure. In 2007, he joined Simon & Schuster Entertainment as Senior Editor where he acquired Tori Spelling’s sTORI Telling, Chelsea Handler’s Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea, Teri Irwin’s Steve and Me: Life with the Crocodile Hunter and Jim Karas’ The Cardio-Free Diet. In 2008, Broussard returned to the agency world as Executive Vice President and Partner with iSB New Media.
Under iSB, Broussard represents a number of writers from the entertainment industry, including Chelsea Handler, the Kardashian Family, Harry Hamlin, Heather MacDonald, and Lisa Ann Walter. He also manages the literary and film/TV properties of many non-celebrity clients including Jeffrey Ma, Kristen McGuiness, Rodney Anderson, and Mark MacDonald.
