Micah Ainsley Brown

Micah Ainsley Brown (born 27 December 1988) is a British computer programmer, data scientist and actor. Micah is the Founder and CEO of Centiment which is an artificial intelligence company. He trained at the McAlpine Dance Studio and was part of programs at the Old Victoria Theatre and graduated from the Uxbridge College in 2009 and attended Greenwich University briefly before starting a career in finance 2010.
Life and career history
Micah was born and raised in South London, he is of part Scottish and Jamacian descent. His father was a pharmacist and his mother was a homemaker. 
By age fourteen, Micah had become interested in data analysis and programming. At sixteen he began working in financial engineering at Barclays Commercial. Some of the software he created in the area of risk management is still used by Barclays. Micah attended Uxbridge College before subsequently transferring to Greenwich University. He first came up with the idea that later became Centiment at Greenwich University. Micah later worked on the first commercial data warehouse built for Aon Risk Services which later became GRIP, Micah later built artificial intelligence tools for Aon Hewitt and Aon New York, contributing to one of the highest new business records in recent history for the region. Micah later worked on similar solutions at NBC and Viacom and is a regular guest lecturer at various universities and guest speaker at conferences.
Micah has been featured in various film productions and off broadway plays including Edward II and produced the feature film Benighted
In New York in 2014, Micah founded a company providing financial forecasting for film projects. His other projects and ideas at this time included an emotion-driven social network and a "diversity driven film marketplace". In July 2015, with a strong desire to right the wrongs of inequality within media he had the idea for an emotion driven platform to remove the bias from the media financing process and founded Filmfundr.
Centiment, Inc
Tim Wlison, Andre Voisin and Micah co-founded Filmfundr, which later became Centiment Inc in July 2016. With Micah as the CEO. As chief executive officer, Micah has seen the startup through its initial funding and launch.
Built on the technology and popularity of Filmfundr, Centiment has broken barriers within emotional understanding using artificial intelligence. The commercial and academic use of Centiment in partnership with Feilding University and NYU's Center for Data Science has pushed progress within the fields of neuroscience and AI. Micah describes his three guiding principles, which he says are shared by the company, as empathy, diversity and innovation.
Filmfundr, Inc.
Micah developed a platform to finance films via a marketplace called [https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/filmfundr-com#/entity Filmfundr], released in , the platform connected filmmakers with investors using an algorithm to predict potential film revenue.
Other projects
Micah is heavily dedicated to minority causes and a member of the breakout community, regularly visiting under privileged areas of the United States to do what he can to help minority communities, he volunteers with local charities in Atlanta, Baltimore and New York. Micah is a mentor who works with Defy Ventures and Evertices ventures, making every effort he can to invest in businesses founded by people of color and the disenfranchised.
