Meria Heller

Meria Heller is an American writer, speaker, reiki master and is widely known as the producer/host of "The Meria Show" an independent online subscription podcast that has been running non stop since 1999. The Meria Heller Show specializes in hot topics that are outside the scope of most main stream media news sources. Over the years, Meria Heller's show has been downloaded millions of times and she has interviewed hundreds of personalities such as The Yes Men, Clint Curtis, and Jesse Ventura.
Personal life and career
Early life and education
Meria Heller is a baby boomer born in the post World War II America. Meria grew up in South Brooklyn in an Italian-American neighborhood, along with her four sisters in her grandmothers brownstone. As a child Meria was ridiculed for her psychic gifts. In a Catholic Italian neighborhood she was called "malacristiana" which translates to the anti-Christ. She was just a young girl who knew things others didn't and spoke her truth as early as four years old.Went to Thomas Jefferson High School and started out wanting to be fashion designer.
Metaphysics, Reiki and other healing techniques
Meria Heller taught metaphysics and natural healing in New York along with Watercolor painting. In 1988 Meria had a one woman show of her artwork in Soho, New York. She then went to France to begin a series of work based on the French and Italian Rivieras. Her work is in many private collections.
After moving from New York to Arizona in 1991, Meria Heller began teaching the Medicine Wheel and Native American spirituality and eventually developed the Universal Medicine Wheel, a tool for everyone to use regardless of race, religion or sexuality. Meria became a Reiki Master and teaches that as well. Meria was 4 years old when she realized her intuitive gifts and began using them professionally after 1979 helping people around the world understand their path and how to attain it. She still has a private practice doing both readings and reiki for a select group of customers.
The Meria Heller Show
Back in 1998 a business partner told Meria that she needed a radio show to advertize her golf outings and Meria said she would do it. What started as a bold proposition turned out to be one of the highest audience shows in KFNX radio, in Arizona, so after the contract was over Meria decided to stay for another period, with no intention of maintaining the show, (it was purely business). After a year of doing that she quit to apply herself back to her private practice but was approached shortly after by a young man named Jordan Dorf who was starting up Net Radio Live, a new concept in radio via the internet. She began her internet audio show in July 2000 thinking it would be fun for a few months but it has continued ever since.
Meria Heller set a new paradigm for news content related podcasts, realizing people would eventually agree to pay for privileged access to original content that (because it is sponsored exclusively by her subscriber base) is completely detached from any corporate or government interests. She currently has a growing international audience with a large and diverse pay per listen subscriber base.
She has interviewed politicians, stars, doctors, healers, authors and many activists. She is the only news person doling out the news with spiritual views based on her own visions of the future for all humankind.
The Meria Show and the associated websites are solely operated, created and maintained by Meria Heller herself.
Personal Preferences
In several of her shows Meria strongly advocates for an organic & 100% vegetarian diet, citing several studies of health related issues as well as animal rights. She also denounces the use of strong radio frequency emitting devices such as cell phones and microwave ovens. She does not own a TV and instead prefers to read as much as possible.
