Melanie Benz

Melanie Benz is an actress,singer,and dancer. Melanie was born in Miami Florida in 1979. As a youth she acted 20 national commercials for various products. After college, Melanie moved to Los Angeles to pursue her love of dance. After only two years in Los Angeles, Melanie landed her first U.S. promo tour with Singer Tyrese. After that first tour, Melanie began appearing in videos for some of the United States top artist: Britney Spears' "Oops I did it again",Tweet "Call Me", and Jennifer Lopez'" Feel So Good". She continued her stage performances by being a featured dancer on successful music tours Like Justin Timberlake and Christian Aguilera's 2003 Justified/Stripped Tour and also performed alongside Justin Timberlake at The Kids Choice Awards held the same year. In 2004, Melanie performed at the Billboard Music Awards with Usher. In 2006 she served as the judge for The American Dance Awards held in South Florida and Massachusetts. She served as the dance instructor for jazz.
She has since moved onto assisting and choreographing for Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Sisgo and even choreographed a Carl Jr.'s Commercial. Not forgetting her acting roots, Melanie continued to star in film and TV being apart of The Nikki Cox Show and Days of Our Lives and the movies:The Hot Chick (2002), From Justin to Kelly (2003), and Living the Hi-Frequency Life - TEN Essential Keys for A Rich, Happy Life" (2008). A minor break in her acting came when she participated as one of Britney Spears' dancers during Spears infamous 2007 MTV Video Music Award Performance of the song " Gimme More". Benz wore a black silk vest,black latex leggings, and black boots that came up to her knees.
Melanie's advice to dancers can be found all over the web and most explicitly in the 2003 Justified/Stripped tour documentary. Melanie's favorite motto is 'Dream in Color" and "If you want it bad enough, it will happen. Eat, breathe, and sleep whatever it is you love to do. You're going to need that extra love, because L.A. can eat you alive and spit you out."
