Melaina Shipwash (born May 25, 1986) is an American beauty pageant titleholder who won the title of Miss Colorado 2010 and competed in the Miss America 2011 pageant on January 15, 2011, in Las Vegas. Earlier Life She is a graduate student at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs where she is studying diet and nutrition and is captain of the dance team. She is also a choreographer and an ice skating teacher. Pageant Experience Her talent is jazz dance and she competed at Miss Colorado as Miss Colorado Springs. Her platform was Project HEAL (Raising funds and awareness for Eating Disorder patients which she chose because she had anorexia nervosa in high school. |
