Megan Baker (b. 1991) is an American photographer living in a suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Biography Baker took up serious photography at the age of ten, when she won the county- and state-level photography competitions for her 4-H club. By the time she was 13, she had professionally photographed two weddings. She took up concert photography in 2004. She currently resides in Illinois, U.S.A. Work Baker's portfolio consists of two main photo series, Concert and Decampment. Her concert series includes photos of such artists as Josh Kelley, Jason Mraz, Joey DeGraw, and Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers. Her artistic series, Decampment, taken in 2006, portrays the interiors and exteriors of abandoned houses. Recognition In spite of her young age, Baker has received numerous recognitions for her work. Pieces from Decampment were featured in the photography magazine The Beautiful Decay as well as in the art periodical Eyemazing. In addition, her photographs were selected by Joey DeGraw for use on his personally maintained website.
