MeetingZone is headquartered in Thame, Oxfordshire, UK and has operations in North America, France, Germany and Sweden. History MeetingZone, founded in 2002 by Steve Gandy and Tim Duffy, is an independent conferencing and collaboration service provider, delivering personalised integrated audio and web conferencing services to global organisations of all sizes, across all business sectors. In August 2011, GMT Communications Partners,the European TMT-focused private equity group, announced that it had teamed up with management to acquire MeetingZone for a total consideration of £38.5 million. MeetingZone appeared in the The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100, annual league table of Britain’s fastest growing private technology companies, for four consecutive years (2008-2010). Acquisitions In November 2011, MeetingZone announced it had launched a collaboration agreement with Unified Communication Sweden AB. Later in August 2012 MeetingZone revealed that it had acquired the shares of Malmo based Confy and its wholly owned Norwegian subsidiary Confy AS. In March 2013, MeetingZone acquired Atia Communications a unified communications service provider. MeetingZone's Technology MeetingZone owns and operates a hosted technology platform to deliver services that enable remote electronic meetings and presentations without the need for the customers to invest in dedicated equipment in their own networks or on the desktop. Services are delivered through standard telephony lines, IP services and through the internet, and do not require dedicated connections at the customer premises. Services Web Conferencing MeetingZone offers a variety of web conferencing platforms, including Cisco WebEx solutions, Glance and Presenter. MeetingZone is a strategic reseller/partner of Cisco WebEx, IBM and Glance. Audio Conferencing MeetingZone offers a range of audio conferencing solutions through platforms such as Self-Managed Calls and Operated Managed Calls. The company also provides additional features to supplement audio conference calls, including Advanced Scheduling and Record and Playback functions.
