Mediaplex is the technology division of ValueClick, Inc. (Nasdaq:VCLK). Mediaplex is an application services provider (ASP) offering technology products and services that enable advertisers and advertising agencies to implement and manage their online advertising across multiple channels including display, email, paid search, natural search, on-site, offline and affiliate. Mediaplex’s MOJO® product suite is supported by a single proprietary technology platform, which has the ability to manage all aspects of online advertising from campaign implementation to real-time behavioral targeting to enterprise-level cross-channel analysis. History In 1996, Mediaplex, Inc. was founded with the vision of providing fully integrated technology systems for online marketing campaigns. In 1998 the company established headquarters in San Francisco, and added offices in New York, Germany and the UK. In 1998, the company developed the MOJO technology platform. It also introduced a media buying and planning division, which was later sold. In 1999 Mediaplex released MOJO Adserver as a hosted ASP solution. By 2000 Mediaplex was first to market with a real-time ad serving suite that included dynamic messaging, re-targeting, storyboarding and reporting. In July 2000 Mediaplex won the global ad serving business for eBay. In August 2000 Mediaplex announced the close of its acquisition of AdWare Systems, Inc., a global media management applications service provider. In November 2000 Mediaplex released its MOJO Mail, an email campaign management and delivery solution. In April 2001, Mediaplex Announced Tom Vadnais as President and Chief Executive Officer. In October 2001 Mediaplex was acquired by ValueClick, Inc. In June 2002 Mediaplex expanded its technology offering to include MOJO Publisher, a publisher side ad serving solution. In 2003 Mediaplex announced the release of a new version of its MOJO Mail email management and delivery solution. In January 2007 Mediaplex launched the second phase of its search bid management technology beta, MOJO SEM, following the successful completion of the first phase of the beta program. In May 2007 Tom Vadnais was promoted to CEO of ValueClick. In June 2007 Mediaplex launched Path to Conversion Data and Analytic services. In January 2008 Mediaplex promoted Ann Hoey to General Manager of Mediaplex. In December 2008 the company released its Dynamic Behavioral Targeting suite. In January 2009 Mediaplex began offering carbon neutral ad serving to all Mediaplex clients.
