Media bias in India

Media bias in India is the description of media being used to systematically present a particular point of view either consciously or driven by individuals. Claims of bias in the media include claims of liberal bias, corporate bias. There are a no watchdog groups yet in India that find the facts behind both biased reporting and unfounded claims of bias, and research about media bias is in infancy.
Claims of a liberal bias
Liberal bias in the media is commonly thought to be the result of liberal principles and ideas influencing the coverage or selection of news stories.
Critics of the media say this bias exists within a wide variety of media channels including network news shows of CNN IBN, NDTV and Rediff.
The academic studies are not available yet for critics of a "liberal media bias" in Indian journalism. There is a sense of increased liberal bias which expected to fuel studies on bias . Recent incident in Mangaluru has highlighted the media bias in India.
