MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation is a supporting organization of the Lion Global Foundation. MDC/Richmond American Foundation was founded by M.D.C. Holdings, Inc., parent company to the Richmond American Homes companies.
Overview
The MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation was established by M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. as a way to give back to the communities that the Richmond American Homes and affiliated companies serve. To date, MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation has donated millions of dollars to hundreds of nonprofit organizations.
History
The Foundation was established in 1999 under the name “M.D.C. Holdings, Inc. Charitable Foundation,” becoming the MDC/Richmond American Homes Foundation in 2005. In 2002, the Foundation made its first donations, totaling $250,000, to several philanthropic organizations, including the Denver Campus of Jewish Education and the Tennyson Center for Children. To expand their philanthropic reach, the Foundation became a supporting organization of the Lion Global Foundation in 2016. University of Colorado Boulder Law School, The Denver Post's Seasons to Share Campaign, History Colorado Center, Navy SEAL Foundation, , and Amp the Cause, among others.
