Jennifer Yu Cheng

Jennifer Yu Cheng (, born 1981) is the Deputy Vice Chairwoman and Group President of CTF Education Group, Co-Founder of ARCH Education and founder of Jennifer Yu Cheng Girls Impact Foundation (JYCGIF). She graduated from Columbia University. In 2019, Cheng was awarded the Women of Hope Award in the Children's Advocate category by the Hong Kong Adventist Hospital Foundation.
Education and early career
Yu graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Industrial Engineering Operations Research and a minor in Economics. Electronic toy “Drum Revolution” designed by her was awarded toy production license from Kiscom, Inc, the first since Columbia University’s collaboration with Kiscom, Inc in 2000.
Prior to her career in education, she was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in the Fixed Income Currency and Commodities division.
Education and non-profit organization
Yu co-founded ARCH Education in 2009. ARCH Education is an expert education institute based in Hong Kong.
In 2011, Yu co-founded ARCH Community Outreach (ACO), a non-profit organization dedicated to widen Hong Kong students’ exposure and access to international education opportunities, with a particular outreach focus on supporting and sponsoring under-resourced high achievers in Hong Kong on their application to global top universities. ACO has assisted under-resourced students from Hong Kong to gain admissions and scholarships to top universities including University of Chicago, University of California, Los Angeles, Wesleyan University, University of Cambridge, London School of Economics, and University College London. Additionally, thousands of students attend ACO’s annual events which aim to broaden students’ international exposure through the Hong Kong Inter-school Mock Trial Championship, Global Aspiring Medic Conference and Careers Program.
From 2017, she is the Deputy Vice Chairwoman of CTF Education Group and is responsible for the group’s strategy. The group has made links to elite education establishments in the UK, including funding exchange bursaries. Jennifer is currently Supervisor of Victoria Educational Organisation’s (VEO) kindergartens, including virtual 'graduations' for toddlers, and School Manager of Delia School of Canada.
In 2020, Yu is also Founder of the Jennifer Yu Cheng Girls Impact Foundation (JYCGIF) JYCGIF is on a unique mission to uplift the status of women in society and in the workplace by building a strong pipeline of teenage girls who are both inspired and equipped with the future ready resources, skills and mindset to become tomorrow’s leaders.
Personal life
She is married to Adrian Cheng, and they have two children Adrian and Sonia Cheng, who are international entrepreneurs.
