McKinney Marshals

The McKinney Marshals are a Summer Collegiate Baseball team located in McKinney, TX and a member of Texas Collegiate League. Home games are played at Gabe Nesbitt Field. Their main rivals are the Coppell Copperheads. Competing in the TCL 2004 Season The Marshals won the Tris Speaker Division but lost to the Coppell Copperheads in the first round of the playoffs. 2005 Season In 2005, they finished as the runners-up to the Denton Outlaws. The Marshals swept the Copperheads 2 games to 0 while the Outlaws also swept the Weatherford Wranglers in the opening round of their series. 2006 Season The Marshals won the TCL championship. In the first round, they conquered the Tris Speaker Division champion Coppell Copperheads, then defeated the Denton Outlaws in the championship series. 2007 Season They defeated the Wichita Falls Roughnecks in the Hornsby divisional series. Their opponent in the chamionship round as it came to be were their "121 Series" adversaries, the Coppell Copperheads. The Copperheads swept the Brazos Valley Bombers in their series. The Marshals were unable to repeat as back-to-back champions as Coppell won 2 games to 1 over their biggest rival. 2008 Season With only four teams in the league, the 2nd place Marshals defeated the 3rd place East Texas Pump Jacks in the first round while their main rivals, the Copperheads, defeated the Bombers in the other round. This time, however, the Marshals swept Coppell 2 games to 0.
