The Coppell Copperheads are a Summer Collegiate Baseball team located in Coppell, TX and are perennial competitors in the Texas Collegiate League since its inception in 2004. The team plays their home games at the Coppell ISD Sports Complex (a.k.a. "The Snake Pit). Their biggest rivals are the McKinney Marshals The best in the TCL 2004 Season The Copperheads concluded the season in 2nd place in the Tris Speaker Division, won against the McKinney Marshals in the first round, and then captured the TCL championship over the Graham Roughnecks in the first season of the league. 2005 Season In 2005, they captured the Tris Speaker Division with the best record in the league. 2006 Season In 2006, they won the Tris Speaker Division with a 31-17 record, again the best in the regular season but lost in the first round to their blossoming rivals, the McKinney Marshals. 2007 Season They finished with a 28-19 record. As usual, they won their division, swept the Brazos Valley Bombers 2 games to 0 in the first round, and captured another TCL title over the McKinney Marshals, 2 games to 1 in the championship series. 2008 Season With only four teams in the league in 2008, the Copperheads were at the top of the standings with a 26-20 record. They defeated the Brazos Valley Bombers in the first round, but lost to the McKinney Marshals in the championship series.
