Maven Research Inc. is an international open talent and expert network company. The company works like a consultant network that connects businesses that have inquiries to experts for the direct exchange of knowledge, perspective, opinion, and ideas in different industries.
The company's headquarters is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and a satellite office is placed in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
History
Maven Research, Inc. was founded in February 2008 in San Francisco by Wyatt Nordstrom, Anthony D’Alessandro, and Mark Platosh.
In 2010, Maven Research arranged a partnership with Business Connect China (BCC). Maven's primarily US-based clients have access BCC's expert network. In 2013, Maven introduced Knowledge Communities to provide a single source for answers to any professional questions from both internal and external experts.
In 2020, the company was getting selected for the NOIS2 program by NASA. In December 2021, Maven got more than 66 thousand monthly unique visitors.
Products and services
Maven offers two kinds of expert consulting, microconsulting and extended consulting.
* Microconsulting includes brief verbal consultations and online surveys. Microconsulting services account for the bulk of Maven's business volume.
* Extended Consulting includes in-person/on-premise consulting, advisory services, workshops and seminars, and research and analysis).
Over 90% of Maven's client base fall within four main industry verticals: health/pharma, industrial, consumer products, and high-tech.
Maven has built its own network of hundreds of thousands experts from diverse industries in more than 200 countries.
Investments
In July 2010, the company received a $1 million investment from vaunted venture capital firm Accel Partners during a seed round.
In July 2012, the platform closed the ‘Series A’ round of investments of $2 million from GSV Capital (now SuRo Capital).
