Maurya News is an online Hindi language News platform published daily in Bihar and Jharkhand. It was founded in November 2013 in Patna, the Capital City of Bihar by the renowned Film Director Prakash Jha.

Maurya News is a news platform which focuses on news of common people. It’s available on all digital platforms and aims to be a safe light channel soon. Maurya News is voice of people of Bihar & Jharkhand. It has content from all fields of life whether its about daily news of Bihar or Jharkhand or news of national interest. The content is a mix of news and infotainment. The flagship programs produced by Maurya News are "Aapki Baat" which is very well reviewed by the viewers. The channel has its headquartered at Noida, India and has its offices at Delhi, India and Patna, India as well. The concept of Maurya News was designed by Ace Film Maker "Prakash Jha", however the owner of Maurya news is his nephew Manish Jha. Manish Jha comes from a varied media background. He has been in media from more than 15 years in various capacities for major channels of India.
