Matthew Kendrick Bell aka Matt Bell (born 1983) is an American lawyer and management consultant living in Katy, Texas. Career Bell has led multiple companies in various legal and compliance executive roles, including Weatherford International and ZTE Corporation, through settlement negotiations and post-settlement obligations with the United States Departments of Commerce, Treasury and Justice that were unprecedented in the field of export controls and sanctions law. He is the Chief Compliance Officer and Legal Counsel for ZTE USAsince 2016. In 2019, he founded and built the Export Controls, Sanctions & Trade practice at FTI Consulting. He heads FTI Consulting's global export controls, sanctions, and trade practice as a senior managing director. Bell speaks at conferences around the world on topics primarily focused on export controls as it relates to China and the technology industry. Bell was involved in the creation of the International Sanctions and Export Controls Society network originally started in 2022. Bell serves on the Advisory Board of the Association of Certified Sanctions Specialists and on the Export Controls Certification Task Force. Bell also serves on the Board of Trustees for Oklahoma Christian University. Bell is the co-founder of Capital RV & Boat Storage.
