Matix Group

The Matix Group has been established by the Kanodia family of the Datamatics Group. The Datamatics Group, established in 1975 and currently employing over 5000 people, is a multi-business information technology organisation.
The Matix Group will diversify into sectors including manufacturing, services and infrastructure. The Matix Group’s flagship investment is a 3 million ton per annum (MTPA) fertiliser plant in West Bengal.
In Phase 1, Matix will invest Rs 5000 crore (US$ 1.1 billion) to set up a 1.3 MTPA single stream Ammonia Urea plant with integrated facilities. The complex will produce fertiliser close to where customers need it and reduce the region’s reliance on imports.
The plant is being developed with strategic international partners providing technology, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning support.
