Matilda Whitney Nakayima is a Ugandan musician and empowerment advocate known by her stage name Matty Witty for her contributions to music and advocacy for people with disabilities. Her advocacy extends beyond physical disabilities, She completed her elementary, middle, and high school education before joining Makerere University, where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Music. Music career Matty Witty discovered her passion for music at an early age, leading to her initiation into the music scene during her childhood. Other responsibilities * Pioneering member of Female Performing Artists Uganda (March 6, 2019). * Participant in the Open Day and Dance Festival (2018) by the Department of Performing Arts and Film, Makerere University, and Norwegian University College of Dance, Norway. * Member of Stigmaless, Joint Adherent Brothers and Sisters against HIV/AIDS (JABASA) (2020). * Member of GBV Prevention Network, Kampala, Uganda (2023), an organization dedicated to preventing violence against women. * Involvement in HIV/AIDS campaigns, including performances at the International Day of the Girl Child (Uganda) in 2020. * Participation in the 2nd Annual UNASO Women's Summit (July 7-8, 2022), focusing on Gender-Based Violence and HIV prevention. * Active engagement in projects such as the Hear Her Cry Campaign and an E-concert dedicated to combating Gender-Based Violence. * Performer in the 1st Season of the Dance with Valentino show (2021).<ref name=":1" />
