Mathieu Stefani

Matthieu Stefani (born 17 February, 1979) is a French entrepreneur and citizen journalism pioneer. He is the director of CosaVostra, a digital agency based in Paris, London and Tunis.
Early life
Mathieu Stefani was born and grew up in Cherbourg-Octeville where he became a professional hockey player during one year in NCHOP club.
He studied at Ipag Business School Paris, and done his Masters in Company Management and Creation in 2001. In 2008 he married Lucie Stefani (employee at Facebook) and has two sons.
Matthieu Stefani is a lecturer at HEC, for the Digital Entrepreneurship Certificate. Since 2012, he started investing in the Master Innover & Entreprendre at ESCP Europe. He is also a member of the jury, a coach and lecturer at ESCP
He writes articles for notable magazines including Le Journal du Net, Medium, L'Obs and Le Huffington Post.
Career
From 2001 to 2004, Matthieu Stefani contributed to Metro France launch as head of advertising in charge of corporate advertising, and then as account manager. In 2004, he joined Metro International in London to become International Account Director.
In 2005 he co-founded Citizenside, the first project of citizen journalism. In 2007, AFP and the holding IAM invest in Citizenside, which launches a community platform used by Le Parisien, BFM TV, 20 Minutes and Metro.
In 2007, Matthieu Stefani launched Stobacco with his brother Pierre Stefani, an social network helping smokers to quit smoking. They also set up and developed the first French Android app, for Citizenside and Metro France. In 2011, he leaves the operational management of Citizenside in order to launch Stefani&Co, his first agency. The Stefani&Co later becomes CosaVostra, with three associates; Pierre
Stefani, François Defossez and Laurent Kretz.
In 2012, he launched Iron Cards, currently global leader of metal business cards. In 2015, Padrino, startup studio owned by Stefani, becomes owner of CosaVostra. He sells Iron Cards in order to launch two new offices for CosaVostra, in London and Tunis. Matthieu Stefani contributed to launch three startups; OuiFlash, O’Barbershop and Yoburo.
