Mastan Babu Malli is a mountaineer from Andhra Pradesh, India who is has ascended the seven summits, the highest peaks in each of the seven continents. He is also the first and so far only climber from India to do so. Malli Mastan Babu is from Nellore, a coastal district in Andhra Pradesh.

Mastan Malli was born to a farming family in Nellore, a coastal district in Andhra Pradesh in India.
Education
He attended the Sainik School in Korukonda, Andhra Pradesh, India. He stood in the merit list of National Level Science Talent Search Exam, Best Swimmer Award and Obstacle competition. He went to the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Jameshedpur in Electrical Engineering (1992 -96) and then the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur for a Masters in electronics. After 3 years at Satyam Computer Services Ltd. Hyderabad, he got an M.B.A from Indian's prestigious management school - IIM Calcutta, in 2004. He was the Founder of the Adventure Club of IIM, Calcutta, in 2003. He organised several much appreciated adventure activities for the students. He was awarded "Dr. BC Roy Award for best outstanding Contribution to Campus life".
At this point, he decided to follow his childhood dream - to climb Mt. Everest - and thus he opted out of campus placements.
Planning When Mastan was in school in Andra Pradesh, a senior school mate, Uday Bhaskar, was killed in an avalanche while climbing Everest. Mastan decided to finish what his fellow senior started. Carrying a picture of Uday with him, Mastan climbed Kilimanjaro and Koziuszko, Australia in early 2006, then Everest. It was at this point that he decided that if he climbed Everest, why not the other 6? His friends saved up $70,000 towards his total trip expenses of $100,000. He is also planning to run 29 marathons in each of the 29 states in India to inspire other athletes. Mastan accomplished this feat and climbed each mountain on a different day of the week and a different month. He climbed them all in a total of 171 days, beating the previous record of 187 days.
