The agency worked with some of the early successful dot-com companies such as AltaVista, Shopping.com, Doubleclick, and Priceline.com. The Silicon Alley agency also helped blue chip companies such as Hertz, and Citibank transition marketing activities onto the web.

As the Dot-com bubble burst in mid 2001, Mass Transit was forced to layoff the majority of its staff, but its retained key management. After rebuilding the company, the agency was sold to Horizon Media in 2005 and renamed Horizon Interactive, becoming the digital arm of the largest independent media services agency in the world .
