Mascot Books is one of the fastest growing mid-sized independent book publishers in the United States and Canada. Co-founded in 2003 by Naren Aryal, the company has published over 1,000 titles in various genres including fiction and non-fiction, early chapter, science fiction, children's books, romance, cookbooks and other publishing projects. Based in suburban Washington D.C., the company is best known for its high level of author support during both title production and distribution. Mascot Books publishes content from new authors, previously self-published authors, and authors that have been traditionally published in the past. The company provides full-service publishing-related services including concept development, ghostwriting and editing, award-winning cover design, book layout, printing, and publishing in both physical and eBook formats. Distribution-related offerings include warehousing and fulfillment, invoicing, and relationships with leading online retailers and brick-and-mortar channels. Mascot Books is the largest publisher of licensed children’s sports books in America. Elementary school fundraising In 2009, Mascot Books established a new line of elementary school mascot books featuring school-specific, customized characters and story lines. Mascot Books has since published nearly 50 elementary school books in 22 states. The books provide schools a chance to raise money in nonfood related ways.
