Mark Joyella

Mark Joyella (born in 1960) is an American journalist working for WPLG-TV in Miami, Florida. Most recently, Joyella was a reporter for WNYW-TV in New York City.
Career
Joyella began his journalistic career in the state of Colorado and reported for KJCT, the ABC affiliate in Grand Junction, Colorado. After a few years in Colorado, Mark moved to Florida and started to report for WPLG, the ABC affiliate in Miami/Fort Lauderdale.
At WNYW, Joyella became very well known for his own Mark's Missions, where he was paired up with Mike Woods. Also, Joyella also added his own spin to his segments by including the Fox soup segment, where he would recap and comment on the week's
bloopers or funny moments in the week's shows. Some of the talents that were featured in the segments were Rosanna Scotto, Ron Corning, Jodi Applegate, Rick Folbaum, Lucy Noland, Lisa Evers, and Mike Woods. Also, Joyella is credited for his on-air confrontations with both Rick Folbaum and Ron Corning.
A child, Joyella starred on the show Wonderama in the 1970s.
Achievements
Joyella received great recognition from the New York Market after he reported false police-ticketing and bringing the common corruption of the New York Police Department to the public's attention.
Currently in 2006, Joyella traveled to Los Angeles, California to cover the new season of 24, where he was also on an episode. Also, Joyella has filled in as a substitute co-anchor alongside Lyn Brown for the evening editions of Fox 5 News at 5, 6, and 10 p.m on the Thanksgiving and Christmas of 2005.
Mark's Departure from WNYW
Joyella was dropped from WNYW in January 2007. His segments on Good Day New York were discontinued, but Vanessa Alfano have featured for the station's morning shows on and off ever since.
Joyella is returning to WPLG in December 2007.
