Marius Masalar

Marius Masalar (b. 1990, Cluj-Napoca, Transylvania) is a Romanian-Canadian writer, playwright, and composer of incidental music for video games, theatre, film, and other media. His works range in style from Classical Symphonic to Rock and Electronica.

Marius has worked with numerous independent developers in producing original music for small-scale video game productions in amateur game development communities (GameDev, RMXP, and Blackwater Isle among others). More recently, he has had the opportunity to begin working for increasingly large-scale projects, including an upcoming game called Spectraball, being distributed on the Steam network.

His theatrical endeavours have yielded two separate awards of merit for Excellence in Writing and Direction for the plays “Malevolence” and “Of Bunnies and Rabbits” - both premiered in 2008 at the SEARS Ontario Drama Festival.

Marius is currently working as the Lead Composer for FlashCube Studios and UglyWart Studios.
