Marily Mojica

Marily Mojica is an American visual artist of Puerto Rican parents of Yoruba ancestry. She currently resides and works in Washington, DC.
Artwork
Mojica's artwork usually addresses social issues such as interracial marriages and friendships, same-sex marriage, and "fitting in." She has noted that she looks "like a black American. And yet, I don’t fit into the black American group, because I’m Hispanic. Because I look African-American, I don’t always fit into a Latin group. I’m also 6’1”, so I’m not your traditional Latina. All those things make me think about the differences in people.”
