About Mangled Eye Studios is a small indie game development company located in Cleveland OH. Founded by ex Ritual Entertainment designer Thearrel McKinney. The company creates FPS shooters for PC and consoles. Their debut game was Dark Salvation, an FPS/Action/Horror game where you play as a young woman named Talia who receives magical powers to fight the demons of the Underworld. Dark Salvation was the studios first game that used the id Tech 3 source when John Carmack of id Software released the engine source under the GPL. It is one of the few games ever to be commercialized with the use of this GPL'd engine source. Dark Salvation The 2009 release of Dark Salvation marked the first release into the PC market for the indie studio. Using id Tech 3 and spending several years in development for this game, it also incorporated a very unique soundtrack created by many well known bands and musicians around the globe. Some of note are Halo In Reverse, Sadistica, Neurological, Dead Factory, The Holocaust Humanity, and many more.
