Malhis

Malhis (Malhees): is an old tribe who lived in the city of Nablus in the West Bank, Palestine. They descend from the Kurdish tribes that arrived that area after the arrival of Saladin. It is believed that the Malhis tribe is a direct descendantof Zaloom, a son of Saladin.

Malhis used to work in cotton industry in Marj bin Amer valley in Palestine, after collection of cotton; it was stored in Saylat Al Harthia village in Palestine till the end of the season to be sent to Nablus for classification, packaging and distribution. The majority of the products were shipped to Hebron in Palestine and Aleppo in Syria.

Malhis married many wives in different cities, in Hebron he married a lady from Zaloom family, and another lady in the city of Nablus from Bishtawii family, in Sylat Al Harthia village he married to a lady from Al-Qadir family, and two ladies in Aleppo one from Al Nashef family and another one from Ajam family. Majority of his descendants do exist in Nablus in Palestine, Aleppo in Syria and Amman in Jordan and many exist in the Diaspora.
