Make Up Brushes
As with all professions, it’s very important to have good tools. Working in good conditions is important, since sometimes, for various reasons, doing a good job is more of a challenge than others. So it is critical to have a good brush set that makes our job easier.
It is true that for certain products, your hands are a good tool, but for others it’s essential to have good quality brushes and in perfectly clean and hygienic condition.
What brushes are required?
A loose powder brush A blush brush that also can help with dark corrections. Shadow brushes in at least 4 sizes. A correcting brush A lip brush An eye liner brush. A spiral brush. A beveled brush for making up eyebrows.
When we are short on time for cleaning between sessions, we should have a good variety in case we need them.
How should I clean them?
In terms of cleaning, in order to be able to re-use them right away there are special products available that dry quickly. If you don’t have one of those, ethyl alcohol at 96º is ideal for eliminating the remains of powders, because once cleaned, they dry immediately. To clean in depth, it’s best to wash them in neutral soap. To disinfect, there are many different ways to do it, such as submerging them in a solution of 2% gluteraldihyde. To maintain natural hair brushes, (ideal for powder textures), it’s a good idea to put a hair mask on them from time to time. Good care is essential for the long duration of your brushes.
