Magic and Other Misdemeanors

The book begins when Sabrina and Daphne practice escape training after coming home from New York. Afterwards, Granny Relda hosts a house party for any Everafters that have any experience with magic and might help to undo a curse that put Henry and Veronica Grimm to sleep. After they leave, the Grimms are visited by Baba Yaga , who thinks Sabrina has stolen one of her magic wands, the Wand of Merlin because Sabrina unsuccessfully tried to steal it in the third book. The following few days, the Grimms learn that Morgan Le Fay has lost her Wonder clock and Frau Pfefferkuchenhaus (the Hansel and Gretel witch) has lost her vial of water from the Fountain of Youth.
With Granny Relda overwelmed by the taxes put on by The Queen of Hearts and Sherrif Nottingham, and Uncle Jake distracted by his love for Sleeping Beauty, Sabrina and Daphne take matters into their own hands. Suddenly, they find themselves trapped in a "Tear in time" where Puck, Sabrina, and Daphne are adults (Puck and Sabrina wearing identical wedding rings), Mr. Canis is permanently the Big Bad Wolf, and Ferryport Landing is taken over by The Scarlet Hand. Prince Charming,who had been missing for three months, help Sabrina and Daphne get home.
A while later into the book, there is another tear in time, bringing Willhelm Grimm and his ship of Everafters back from hundreds of years ago. Wilhelm Grimm is captured by Sherrif Nottingham and scheduled to be executed, but Mr. Canis and the Grimms rescue him. After the ship returns, Sabrina cracks the case and realizes that the culprits were Dr. Cindy a.k.a Cinderella and her mortal husband Tom. Tom had used Dr. Cindy's pet mice Malcolm, Tom, and Alexander to steal the items from the witches' handbags.
After Tom agrees to return the items and explains that he only wanted to become immortal so he could remain Cinderella's husband until the end of time, Sabrina turns twelve. Prince Charming contacts Bunny Lancaster (the Wicked Queen from Snow White), and she uses their magic mirror to reveal that the key to waking up Henry and Veronica Grimm is to find Goldilocks. Snow White made a surprise visit and discovered Charming was alive, and punched him in the jaw. After she leaves, Mr. Canis is captured by The Scarlet Hand, and it is revealed that Prince Charming had joined the Scarlet Hand.
