'Madhuram Veppu' is a religious ritual consitituted to the Roman Catholic Syrian Christians of Kerala, which is a chiseled and polished form of the age old tradition of chandam charthal, which the Knanaya Christians of Kerala continues to follow as part of their wedding eve celebration. It is normally organised on the wedding eve at the groom' house during the bachelor party. During this event, close relatives and friends of the groom gather at the rendezvous in order to morally support/prepare him for the wedding day and blesses him for a successful married life. Following this, the next guy in the family who is in line for marriage will be predestined. The event is normally followed by a big gala dinner and music/DJ night.
