Mad fun

Mad Fun is a CT based comic series from the creators of Frank Corbett and Anasian Andrews that has evolved from 1 page comics of little plot and childish nature, to many page books including more clever plot lines, better backround story for the characters, and a more raunchy and explicit sense of humor. It was started in the late summer of 2004, as a comic by the name of "Tweed", that involved a shapeshifting and lighthearted character that is now a main character in the more successful Mad Fun series.

Characters
Dash, the main character and antihero, is a half-dragon/half-demon mix that was born in Hell, but later escaped claiming that it "Sucked". He is lime green and oval-shaped with orange wings and Dash has had little change since the beginning of the series. He is known to be very agressive in the act of obtaining something he desires (Which is usually food or alcohol related). He is also known to be very unintelligent, and will often get himself in trouble out of sheer ignorance. This applies to his knowledege; he is exceptional at learning and picking up new things. Because of his draconic heritige, he has the ability to spew fire, and displays such ability by burning other characters and other random pedestrians. although he has wings, he cannot fly, unless he is in "Super Dash" mode, an obvious parody of the "Super Saiyan" from Dragonball Z.

Tweed, was the first character to be added to the Mad Fun roster. He is a yellow cube with a vertical antenna, ending in a green gem. His behavior is quite tame compared to that of the other characters, using clean satire and little profanity in his comedic lines. His best friend is Dash, though it is unclear who Dash favors among friends. Tweed can shapeshift, but the assumed form still has nocticable features prevalent in Tweed's own appearance such as his color, and his signature antenna.

Stird, is a bird-like character with silver feathers, and red feathers on his wings. He has a generally oblivious attitude towards his surroundings, but is known to lose his temper frequently. He can coat whatever he touches with a thick icy layer at will, and has developed the ability to fire shards of ice out of his hand at will also.

Gooze is a live and radioactive gelatinous glob of slime that appears human shaped, with a spherical head and two arms with three fingers on each hand. He is a genius, and can build high-tech devices and equipment that appear to be a far-cry from current technolgy even by modern standards. Gooze has no elemental powers seen in other characters, but is equipped with powerful firearms. Gooze is impatient with other characters and in most cases portrayed as being depressed. He is usally angry with Dash. Although he is a peice of slime that came to life after being dropped in radioactive waste, he, in some comics has had parents that look like him.

Evolution of The Series
Mad Fun used to be a more family-friendly, wholesome comic usually consisting of only one or two pages. This was changed in favor of a significantly more explicit and and several paged comic. The most noted departure in this particular subject was the length and inclusion of profanity in the 2006 work, The Mad Fun Movie, though it was not a movie, but a lengthier comic. This idea was first dismissed by the series creator where he called it "A little too over the top", but later adopted and embraced by the creator and all comics were eventually made in that format.
