Ly De Angeles

Ly de Angeles (born December 20, 1951) is an Australian author, Tarot consultant, witch and screenwriter. Her current collection of published works include a variety of topics relating to paganism, witchcraft, Celtic magic and spirituality, and Western occultism.
Early life
De Angeles was raised in Mosman, Sydney, and at age 11 won her first writing competition for Book Week of the Year Australia. During the same year her grandmother, who had previously been the manager of the Rembrandt Hotel in (which burned down in 1981 killing 19 people), moved into the family home.
During her teen years de Angeles was active in several areas including protesting the Vietnam War, the movement of women towards individual rights and liberation and the push to ban vivisection.
During these years de Angeles continued to write, focusing on issues relative to social justice, studied with the Psychic Research Society and explored many forms of divination and occult practice.
In 1968, at age 17, Ly began training with the Independent Theatre, North Sydney, where she studied acting for stage and screen and directing, was initiated into a coven in Edgecliff, New South Wales where she began her formal training in the Western Mysteries and joined the Women's Electoral Lobby
In 1972 she gave birth to her first child.
Early career
De Angeles began working in the budding IT industry while focusing more and more on her studies in the occult, particularly witchcraft, but also including traditional religions,
