Lucy Kenwright is a fictional character on the US television series Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip, played by Lucy Davis. Personal history Lucy is a new staff writer for the show-within-a-show "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip", having joined that year and not having had a sketch aired yet. She has been working on the show throughout the series, but joined the featured cast during the two-part Nevada Day episode, when she "pitched" a sketch to Matt Albie based on the board game Operation, through which she voiced her rage (and sadness) at her recently lost boyfriend. Matt did his best to comfort her, but was ultimately relieved when Danny returned and took over for him. Lucy became a very important member of the cast during the episode B-12, when Ricky Tahoe and Ron Oswald left the show, taking all of the writing staff with them save for Lucy and Darius Hawthorne. Lucy and Darius then spent an entire week trying to write a single sketch, working under the guidance of Andy Mackinaw. While the sketch was ultimately cut due to a hostage situation gone bad, their efforts earned them the respect of Matt and Andy and gave them precious experience that they would need as their careers progressed. In "Monday", the first day back at work after The Christmas Show of Studio 60, Tom asks Lucy on a date, to which she accepts. Through issues with NBS, Tom needs to cancel his date with Lucy and lies to her about the reason. She then finds out he lied and eventually they smooth things over and line up to go on another date a few days later instead. Tom and Lucy remain dating.
