Lucid Desktop, also known as Lucid (previously known as Psych Desktop) is an open source web desktop licenced under the Academic Free License, it is coded in PHP5. It is a member of the Dojo Foundation. The project participated in the GoPHP5 intuitive, an initiative helping software developers to utilize the new features in PHP5 by persuading hosts to switch to PHP 5. The project is to be renamed Lucid Desktop. ComputerWorld, an IT magazine, listed Lucid Desktop as one of 25 highly anticipated open-source releases in 2009. It has yet to release a stable release in its two years of development. |
